Zalando up for review

I was recently sent a voucher to spend online at Zalando and I must admit that I had heard of them before but I had never really taken a proper look. Man alive have I been missing out on a treat! Zalando have a huge range of clothes and accessories for men, women and children and even a homeware range. When I say that the choice is vast, I’m really not exaggerating and at first I though oh my godfathers where do I start?! But the site is actually really user friendly and there are so many options and filters so it actually makes shopping a breeze. With my holidays coming up, I decided to treat myself instead of the children for a change!

First of all I chose these Vogue sunglasses which I just adore! They are in a light brown butterfly style frame with metal arms. They even come complete with a hard case which is essential for somebody as clumsy as me plus it is so handy to have somewhere to keep them safe in my dustbin of a handbag. What can I say, I’m a mother of four, I tend to carry the whole world in my handbag!

I have a tiny bit of a scarf habit and I just couldn’t resist this beauty by French Connection. This Eden of Zola silk scarf has the most gorgeous floral and hummingbird print. It’s a huge too so really versatile to wear. A perfect travelling companion for my jollies that will see me well into the Autumn months. Just dreamy!

I really needed a new denim jacket as the one I had was well past it’s best. I have been trying to convince myself that I could get away with calling it vintage it really was that old but no, it was just ancient and grotty! I was spoilt for choice for new ones at Zalando but this can only ever be a good thing in my book! I eventually chose this gorgeous Only Westa denim jacket because I loved the perfect faded blue colour for summer. It’s such a lovely fit and feels like an old friend already. No doubt I will wear this one to death like I did my last!

And last but by no means last, I chose this gorgeous Joules Alexi jersey dress. It is by Joules and has polkadots, what is not to love? I think this dress was made for me. The gorgeous navy jersey dress has a round neck and best of all – pockets. Two of them. Oh how I love a dress with pockets. Plus it matches my beloved wellies. Did I mention that I was shopping for a Great British holiday? Ha!

I can’t write this review without mentioning that I actually chose another outfit before this one and when it arrived, it didn’t fit quite right unfortunately. This is one of the drawbacks of shopping online of course. Although I have to say that for me, the benefits of being able to take my time to shop from my iPad in the bath more than makes up for that. But and it’s a big BUT, the returns process couldn’t have been more simple. I just had to return the parcel to my local newsagent for it to be picked up by a courier and I had confirmation of the full refund within a couple of days. I was seriously impressed. And of course the new items (that you see here) arrived a few days later, so they more than made up for it! I absolutely love them so thank you Zalando not only for the lovely clothes but also for the excellent customer service.
